Color Theory 5 Mini Print
Color Theory 5 Mini Print
Original Woodblock Print / Monoprint
‘Color Theory 5’ is comprised of two hand-pressed tree ring ink impressions made from the end grain cross section of a tiny oak tree branch that was found in Asheville, NC and was printed on archival paper using traditional printmaking methods. This print is part of a larger evolving body of work that honors the trees around us and our deeper connection to nature.
This print is also a Monoprint, meaning it is one of one prints made in this style and arrangement. This Monoprint is, however, part of an eight piece mini series that inspired a limited edition which was sent off to be a part of the 2025 Open Press Project Print Exchange based in Cologne, Germany. While this print is similar to its counterparts, there will never be another one exactly like it, making it truly one of a kind.
